Well, Turkey Season ends at the end of May leaving four entire months to get ready for deer season. The food plots go in the ground in early May and late July over a few weekends. So what is it that we do the rest of the time? As most outdoor enthusiasts, we love fishing and there’s nothing more exiting to kill the time between hunting seasons then getting out after some big water wolfs. With Sean on crutches until the end of June, I spent some time on the water with my dad and Josh fishing for Pike. My first day out, I landed two 10 lb Northern Pike on the St. Lawrence River. While we usually are very successful in quantity of Pike on the St. Lawrence, we
don’t typically hit any over 6-7 lbs so it was exciting that day to catch 12 different Pike along with two 10 lb monsters. Once Sean was off his crutches, he was out on the water chasing the Muskie’s in the St. Lawrence, Grasse and Little Rivers. As you can see from the pictures, he’s done quite well for himself handling his Musky pole this summer landing two fish over 30 lb’s and numerous other mentionable Muskie’s as well. We don’t only love Hunting, we love the Outdoors in general and fishing has been a part of our life style since long before any of us were old enough to hunt. It’s been a great summer and with only 4 weeks to go until the Northern New York Bow Season opener, we’re ready to put the poles down and pick up the bows and get after those whitetails we dream about while we’re out on the water fishing all summer long.
